ah ok, yeah synthetics tend to be stiffer at times. You can use a little fabric softener, then rinse it really throughly. It will soften the synthetic fibers.

you can use this on any brush. I also have a video on DEEP CLEANING brushes where I show how to was a Kabuki buffer. Its best to dry your brush overnight. Blowdrying will cause some static on the bristles and it will fluff up and the static will make the bristles resist powders.

I've been having a problem with my 190 brush when I clean it. It seems like little dried out powder is all over my brush still after deep cleansing after each use... (it's actually foundation, Studio Fix Fluid) and I can't fork out that much for a brush cleanser right now. I've been using gentle shampoo and tried eye-makeup remover to get it out but nothing is working. What do you suggest?

hey chaoticapathy - you can watch my vieo on how to make homemade brush cleanser. That will save you some money. Look up Homemade Brush Cleanser in my video list. Sounds like you just need to soak the bristles for a few minutes, just make sure that its just the bristles up to the ferrule (metal) that is soaking. You dont want the handle to get wet. Then throughly deep-clean it again. See if all the residue comes out.

ideally, quick-clean your brushes after every use. But I understand most are always on the GO, so every other day is fine. 3 times a week at the least, then deep-clean once a week. Baby SHAMPOO is best as uts designed for delicate hair fibers.
